Flight Deck Crew Member

The Wings World Wide Aircraft, “STAT 1”, will operate 365 days a year, in support of relief aid, medical missions and/or medical training opportunities. There are major air shows that we are required to attend. These air shows give the Foundation name recognition as well as acknowledging to the world, the major contributors to the Foundation. Besides this acknowledgement, these air shows provide a place to remove the aircraft from service for brief periods of time for maintenance and repairs.

Crews must be qualified, in type, in order to operate as a crew member. We have made arrangements to utilize simulators to maintain currency for those pilots not flying in a commercial status. All pilots will be required to have three takeoffs and landings within the last 60 days before flying a mission.

Missions with Wings World Wide will operate similar to the Air Force structure of having an “aircraft commander” as well as a Captain and co-pilot. In this regard, the crews must work in harmony with the medical staff and be prepared, not only to operate the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, but to work with, and sometimes for, the medical staff while on the ground.

There is no seniority system as such. The scheduling of missions and seat positions will be at the discretion of the Foundation. Prior to each mission the crews will be notified as to what seat position they will occupy and what “mission seniority” will prevail.

During lengthy missions it will sometimes be required that we facilitate crew changes. Personal work schedules will dictate this necessity and we will work as closely as possible to make these changes go smoothly. The ability of a crew member to provide their own transient routing to a point of mission departure will play a great part in the selection process of crews. Reliability will be a definite criteria in an applicants qualification. Can you take your spouse or family.? You bet. As long as we can find a legitimate need that they can fill, they are welcome.

If you understand these basic needs and requirements, and you are still interested in operating as a crew member for Wings World Wide, please forward a resume which includes the following:
